MON JAN 7, 7:30 PM, There will be the Second meeting of the 30th Anniversary of Hashing in Chicago at Ravenswood Pub, 5455 N Ravenswood Ave, (1800 W) in Chicago. All hashes and hashers in Chicago are welcome to come and/or volunteer to help put on this wonderful event for all of the hashers and hashes in Chicago. Unfortunately we will have competition for our meeting tonight. Unfortunately I and all others I talked to forgot about some football game tonight. It would be nice if we could postpone the meeting. But one, we need to get this going. Two, it is to late to change this and guarantee that everyone gets the message. Three, we don't screw fellow hashers that way and leave them alone in a bar with no meeting. It is unfortunate that others choose to now advertise against our meeting. Hashing will go on without football and so will this meeting. We will try to select our dates with more care in the future. So please, come on out and support the hash and the 30th Anniversary of Hashing in Chicago.

The Tale of the Trail

The Thirstday Hash 1/3/07 by Horn-E

This was a pickup hash and on a cold night, and ten of us gathered and drew knives. EZ On The Ass drew the knife with the broken blade and headed for the door with some pink flour. He had a five minute head start and the pack was after him. Full Term and I went east and we were way off as the trail headed south for two blocks. Here there was a Split and we headed west a block before marks disappeared. We finally found marks down an alley. As I followed Happy Ass Grabber I spotted a quick turn through a gangway. Too Much Head was right behind me as we came out to the next street and another quick run through another gangway. Then I spotted a mark through a used car lot and emerged on Western. As I headed south I saw the short cutting Happy Ass Grabber ahead and he led us to a Check at Addison. I headed west and found nothing, but everyone was following me. Suddenly Happy Ass Grabber found marks in front of Lane High School. The trail went around to the back and I followed through the snow. At the back we ran into a f*cking wind tunnel. Three steps forward and two back and two degrees colder. A hundred yards later we emerged and my prick was like a tiny ice cycle. Rhotan said his balls were frozen off and he swore to never wear shorts again. Bloody Thighs also lost her balls and was looking for some warm man to cling too. Unfortunately there was nothing but cold horny hashers and they were running on. We crossed Western in pursuit of the fleeing hare and soon he was spotted. Sure enough the fleet Chippendale caught him and got a 2 minute head start. Assflac was soon after him and got within fifty feet of him several times but The Chipster just turned on the after burners and was gone again. Too Much Head finally caught up to me and we lost trail a few blocks later. We paralleled were we thought the trail must have been, but found nothing. We finally headed back to the bar and got in just after Dr. PooLittle.

We ordered several pitchers and the tap just wasn't right, So we had to settle for canned beer at $2. Yeech! Then Happy Ass Grabber called the circle together. Many down downs later we settled into drinking and when the hash cash ran out, I bought a couple of good beers. Then others did and we hung around until after midnight drinking Sam Adams winter brew.

The Tale of the Trail

The Chicago Hash 1/6/08 by Horn-E

Apparently the hares, Super Stuffer and Mouthful Of Meat had a bit of trouble finding a bar and finally settled on Glascott's. Then Its Too Soft didn't get the word out until late Fri, but with the warm weather we still had 27 hashers at the start. Then apparently Chicken Stiffer decided that the beer was to expensive and we could get a better deal at Kelly's and have an outside circle. So after he set that up, Mouthful Of Meat told him to tell Glascott's that we had a better deal and weren't coming back.

But Mouthful Of Meat started us off with a good circle and we were soon off to the south. I led us to the first turn to the west and two blocks later we were at a Check. Calvin Klein went south. I crossed the street and did the same and I eventually was On. At the next corner there was a Split and I yelled to Calvin Klein to head east. He was soon On and a bunch of us headed after him and the main body of the pack was seen following. Several blocks later was a Check and I was all of the way to North Ave with only two marks. The trail had gone east and south and I saw the new to Chicago Hasher, Up Loader from Madison, heading my way. We were soon On, but it became a False. We returned and headed east on North and we were soon On with a bunch of others. I caught Its Too Soft standing at a corner waiting for a Split to be resolved. I headed north and the On was called up ahead. We wandered back and forth through Old Town heading north and east until we came to Lincoln. From here we headed north and eventually over to a beer stop in Oz Park. Got a chance to meet Schnitzel Squeezer from Okinawa H3 and others and his virgin friend, Just Marti. Also met another virgin Just Allison.

After a quick beer, we headed straight to Kelly's. There we headed to the smoking tent. Hey, I thought we were going to circle outside, not in a chilly smoking tent. But the beer was soon flowing and Calvin Klein called the circle together. The hares, Super Stuffer and Mouthful Of Meat got more then a few. PackHer Ass was called out for bringing a whip to a New Years Eve party. But so were her whippees that included the GM, Chicken Stiffer. Mount Me Puh'Leeze got his boxers in a knot up his ass and Mouthful Of Meat wouldn't help him. Then Mount Me Puh'leeze was called out for a demo down down for the virgins and upchucked the whole swallow all over the virgins and half the tent. But Just Marti and Just Allison stood their ground and drank their beers in much better fashion. The transplants, Up Load and Schnitzel Squeezer did also. To Butch got one for hiding in a double X hooded sweat shirt after running on a real cold day last year in shorts. She's so tiny she could warm up in a hankie. Mount Schwinga who acted as a beer wench and got a down down and also got one for riding a bicycle to the hash with two flat tires and a beer filled glass in her teeth without spilling a drop. I think everyone got at least one down down except me. Then Batteries Not Included cleaned house and gave away a bunch of hash T-Shirts. Who else was there? I hope I got everyone. Debbie Does Doctors returned. Flying Hooters, Eilene, Milk My Yak, Barks On All Fours, Just Rob in levis, Just Rob in baggier short then Chicken Stiffer's, Just Tom, Chippendale, Just Molly, and Just Jonathon.

After the circle we hung around outside until the beer ran out. Then everyone started to head inside to the warmer bar and the smokers headed out to the tent.

Song of the week:
For the newer hashers, Learn them.

This ones for Mount Schwinga.

Daisy, Daisy, (Schwinga, Schwinga) give me your answer true,
Daisy, Daisy, (Schwinga, Schwinga) wouldn't you like to screw?
I really must beg your pardon,
But I've got a hell of a hard-on,
From beating my meat against the seat,
Of a bicycle built for two.

On On
Horn-E

Moon Hash Administrative Items:  Attendance | Annual Calendar | Guidelines  | Latest GM Letter

The Hash House Harriers are a worldwide group of people that like to run and drink beer. The Chicago Full Moon Hash and The First Crack of the Moon Hash are loosely affiliated with the 'Hash.' Often called a drinking club with a running problem, we are in fact a loosely knit group of runners that have no problem drinking beer. Our runs, called Hashes, are a take off on a free rambling pack of hounds trailing the scent of a hare. As such, one or more runners, called hares, will take turns laying a trail using various materials and various types of marks to create a trail of interest and adventure for the rest of the runners, called hounds, to follow. There is often a level of various types of risk and danger involved. No one has to do anything that they feel is to risky or dangerous. All participants participate at their own risk and take 100% responsibility for themselves. No one is liable for the well being of others, as we are just a group of people sharing an adventure together. Our activities usually end with a party were our adventures are recounted over a few beers. We usually hold informal ceremonies, where the hares are honored, visitors and first timers are welcomed, and others are ceremoniously called out for various offenses real and imagined. These usually involve drinking beer. While no one is forced to drink, or drink more then they feel they can safely handle; all are encouraged to drink, add to our general merriment and frequent pursuit of the opposite sex. We deliberately offend everyone with our politically incorrect shenanigans, and risqué to thoroughly outrageous singing. This can include not normally bared skin, and other acts and language normally considered improper. While we welcome anyone into our group without discrimination, if these things might offend you, or you are not willing to personally assume all risks involved with Hashing; then you might consider another form of activity to pursue. All members of the Moon Hashes are responsible for their own actions, and only their own actions
