Here's a picture of the die-hards at last Saturday's Drinkin' on Lincoln Pub crawl. Way more fun than a six-bar route would imply. A few more pictures from this event that I don't remember taking can be found here.

Here's a pic of the PPC old guard @ McGee's on Saturday for the Michigan - Ohio State game. Okay, so it was an excuse to get friends together to have a drink or two. A few more pix from this outing can be found here.

Route information to be posted shortly however The River Shannon has been locked in as either bar #1 or #3, either way @ 4:00pm on Sat 12/3!! Same specials as last year - thanks Camille!!
 

As our awesome friend from Down Under, Garth, prepares to head back to a much less cold place, the crew gathered at Friar Tuck's on Broadway last Saturday night for a sendoff gathering not to be missed. A few more pix from this wipeout can be found here.

Hope everyone had their fill of Thankgiving turkey and got where they're going safely this holiday. Today is Black Friday and before I take on the masses at King of Prussia (a mall near my parents' house that makes Woodfield look small http://www.kingofprussiamall.com/) I'm sending out a quick update to the troops. L
 
ots of Bar1Events stuff going on the next week or so but the big news is the PPC's Winter Flagship event (and what has to be either on of or the largest free pub crawl in City of Chicago) is a week from Saturday on December 3, the 9th Annual 12 Bars of Christmas Lincoln Park Neighborhood Pub Crawl. I've been super busy at work these days so I'm a little behind the eight ball but rest assured the final route and specials will come out next week.
 
For sure I've already locked in the River Shannon (425 W. Armitage) as either bar #1 or #3 at 4:00pm either way (if it's #3 the crawl will start @3:00pm somewhere else) so spread the word - let's blow past 400 people this year. This event will not appear on Metromix or anything like that as we like to try and keep it to friends and friends of friends and we seem to still bring out the numbers regardless but feel free to bring your friends and fun co-workers!
 
 
The same deal as always, free wristbands for all, free Santa Hats for the first few die-hards, and drink specials at every bar. Stay tuned for more details. Many people are out of town or doing family stuff this weekend so the list is a little shorter than normal so here's what's on the board this week:

Wednesday, November 23: Bar1Events Turkey Trolley Trot

Now that Halloween is behind us, Thanksgiving is rapidly approaching! Before you head home and let your mom stuff you with turkey, why not let us fill you up with beer! Join us for our annual Turkey Trolley Trot, another fun pub crawl event. It's from 7pm-10pm on Wednesday, November 23, and you can start at McGee's, Wrightwood Tap, Durkin's and Duffy's. Check out Duffy's Naughty or Nice party on Thursday, December 1! 7th Heaven will be playing, and Malibu is sponsoring a $1200 prize for the best naughty (or nice) costume! Our $15 meal package will include a buffet, all Malibu cocktails and domestic drafts from 8-11pm.

 

Friday, December 2: Bar1Events Carnival of Prizes @ McGee's

McGee's Carnival of Prizes is back in town! Next Friday, December 2, we are hosting a holiday Carnival of Prizes where you can spin our wheel and win goofy or great prizes ranging in value from $1-$500! Think of the re-gifting possibilities! Enter to win when you purchase our $15 meal package, which includes domestic drafts and well drinks from 8:30-11:30pm.

 

Saturday, December 3: Bar1Events Holiday Food Drive Party @ McGee's

Last year, with your help, Bar1Events was able to give generously to St. Bernard Hospital in Englewood. As a result, we provided 12 Chicago families with food, Christmas gifts, toiletries and other essential supplies at a time when they needed them most. This year, our goal is to sponsor 20 Chicago families through this program, and we are confident that with your help, we can do it! You may donate anything from non-perishable food items to toiletries to household cleaning supplies at any of our locations from now until December 20, and we will also be having special parties to make giving even more fun! The first party is at McGee's on Saturday, December 3, where our $15 meal package can be yours for just $10 if you bring in an item to donate. The meal package includes a buffet, domestic drafts and well drinks from 8:30-11:30pm. See you there!

Wednesday, December 7: Bar1Events Oysterfest @ Wrightwood Tap

Be there from the beginning - come to Wrightwood Tap's first-annual Oysterfest on Wednesday, December 7! We're bringing in 500 oysters and cooking them up every which way! Our $25 meal package includes all you can eat oysters and all drafts from 7-10pm.
