SOX WIN!!!

Here's a picture of the post World Series Game Four celebration in the "C" lot outside of US Cellular field following the Sox clinching their first World Series in 88 YEARS! It was just incredible to be there as the fine folks of Bridgeport turned out to party. Truly a once in a lifetime experience! More pix from White Sox Ground Zero can be found here.

Extra Bonus Pic! The CTA's special Chicago White Sox World Championship train cars 3311 and 3312 featured in Monday's Red Eye spotted @ the Howard Street station.  Festa spotted Chicago taxicab badge #1 but on 11/1/2005 I got to ride the newly redecorated car #3312 home from work the same day it appeared in the newspaper!

Congratulations to the 2005 World Champion
Chicago White Sox!!

Hey friends,

Hope everyone's livers survived intact from Halloween 2005!! Between a birthday outing for our friend Kelly @ Tequila Roadhouse Friday night to hitting the Rush & Division Halloween Pub Crawl on Saturday night, it was one wall-to-wall weekend! This weekend we recover the liver cells a bit and I'll be headed out of dodge to visit the Milwaukee crew at MUSA Kickball's (the league I used to play on Wednesday and Thursday night teams) End of Season tournament and postparty (the real reason I'm going!). But there's still lots of fun in Chicago too! Here's what's on the board this week:

Support Our Buddy Tony Brown Bid To Get a Gig at 105.9 WCKG FM

Hello all,

Over the last few weeks, I've had an opportunity to meet & discuss about working for WCKG-FM 105.9 here in Chicago.  They feature a comedy talk format with music.  The audience is aimed at us, 25+ and so on.  In addition to that, beginning next season, 'CKG will broadcast Bulls games for the next 5 years.

Yesterday, I had a meeting with Pete McMurray who is the midday host (10a-2p).  He is intrigued & interested wtih bringing me on-staff for creative duties (on-air, sports, ideas & production).  The snag, of course, is 4th quarter budget restraints (the earliest I could see any action would be January & that would create a lot of time-sensitive LA friction).....but there is a window of opportunity.  This is where I need your help.  Many of you sent e-mails, letters & phone calls to Pete's previous boss, who in turn, stiffed my agent from any conversations over the late spring.  This will not repeat itself.

If, in your own words, you could recommend to Pete why the station & himself would benefit in having me on the air, uh yesterday......the party is on me, I'm deadly serious.....and I'll name my kids after each of you:

Pete McMurray (or his new boss, Drew Hayes)
WCKG-FM 105.9
2 Prudential Plaza
Suite 1059
Chicago, Ill 60611

Thanks again,

Tony
