Picture(s) of the Week!

New! You Can Now Find Last Week's Fridge Door Pictures of the Week on the PPC Home Page - Click Here

Here's a picture of "homecoming" with the Milwaukee kickball crew I used play on teams with on Wednesday & Thursday nights at O'Brien's last Friday night. It wouldn't be an outing at the OB without Jagerbombs!! Ouch. Left to right with me are Lisa (Misfits), Ray Ray (Captn-Misfits), Samantha (DWKP) and Todd (Beer Bong Guy - local celebrity). A few more pix from that outing can be found here.

Weekly Feature(s):

  • NPR Time-Kill of the Week: Christian Faithful Find a Miracle on Highway Overpass. Kinda old hat by now, but still interesting. Christian faithful have gathered beneath a major highway overpass in Chicago to see what many have said is an image of the Virgin Mary on a concrete wall. Although city officials say it's merely a water stain on the concrete, thousands of believers still profess it's a miracle. Producer Dan Collison reports.

Fridge Door Bonus Pic!

Here's a picture heading East on I-794 towards the lake in Milwaukee towards the Bridge to nowhere. I didn't intend to get the "dancing hula dog" dashboard ornament in the shot but somehow it seemed to add to the overall composition's effect. A few more pictures of Milwaukee (with commentary can be found here).

Special thanks to the over 400+ revelers who joined us for our largest 12 Bars of Christmas EVER!! We don't have an exact count because we ran out of wristbands for the first time ever! Hope everyone had a blast and mark your calendars for our next pub crawl, the PPC's 2nd Annual Ten Innings at Wrigley Pub Crawl in June 2005!!

Pictures from the 2004 PPC 12 Bars of Christmas can be found here.

Here's a picture from the Waukesha Hash House Harrier's annual Red Dress run in Humboldt Park / Bayview in South Milwaukee last Saturday. A few more pix from that craziness can be found here.

Hey Friends,

Hope everyone survived last weekend with their livers intact because this weekend marks the official start of Summer 2005 Street Festival Season with the “first of the majors” the 10th Annual Lakeview Mayfest at Ashland & Barry. Mahu will be leading a crew to see Hairbanger’s Ball on Friday night, Festa will be there Saturday, and I’ll be there with McKewin’s crew to see Mike & Joe on Sunday night.

Also, the route for the PPC's 2nd Annual Ten Innings at Wrigley ten-bar pub crawl in Wrigleyville on Friday, June 3 is essentially complete. Click the link below for the complete lowdown....

Finally, the posts are back up at North Avenue beach so look for the resumption of Sunday beach volleyball once we clear Labor Day. Here's what's on the board this week:

6) Hi-Tops 8PM-Onward, $2 Domestic Beer Pints - The River Card will be turned over and announced @ 8:30PM, and the winners will be announced at 9PM.

How It Will Work...

The way it works is simple... if you've seen them play Texas Hold 'Em Poker on TV, you know how to play.  At the first bar, we will give everyone TWO CUSTOM FESTA STUFF PLAYING CARDS.  These are YOUR CARDS.   Then, because we'll have so many people, things will be a LITTLE different from the real thing.  At Bars 2, 3 and 4, we'll flop community cards, one per bar instead of 3 at a time.  At Bar 5, we will give everyone one more of THEIR OWN CARD.  We're doing this to make less people have the same hand.  Then, at Bar 6, we will turn the final community card, AKA "The River", and we'll then award prizes for the best hands.
We will have methods in place to settle tiebreakers, and also, to make sure you keep your own cards and don't trade them with other people :)

All the Prizes will be posted shortly!!!

Questions...  contact us @ info@festastuff.com or call our office @ 773-755-FESTA!
