Here's our buddy Kurt and some of the usual suspects at Fizz at the Meetinchicago happy hour party there on Saturday night. A few more pix from both these events can be found here.

Hey friends,

Thanks to the die-hards who came out and joined us at The Union last Friday night as well as the crew at Fizz on Saturday night... overall another sucessful weekend of partyage. At least the weather's starting to turn warm now and we're only a week away from Mexican St. Patrick's Day - Cinco De Mayo! This weekend kicks off with the first annual "Bars You Don't Normally Go To" pub crawl on Friday night and the first annual Chicago Police Memorial Foundation's Run To Remember 5K in Grant Park at 8:30am Saturday morning.

Also, you can support our good friend Tony Brown for  a 7-10pm air shift on WCKG-FM 105.9!!!

From Tony - "At the moment, there is a golden opportunity for me to be a candidate for the 7-10pm air shift on WCKG-FM 105.9.  I'm asking, if you have 5 minutes, a stamp & envelope....please suggest Jeff Schwartz consider Tony Brown aka Kid Chicago for the job.  I've put quite a bit of time & energy in the bank to introduce myself, but I need the people, the future listeners to really kick it in gear. Here's what's on the board this week:

New! Support our friend Tony Brown for  a 7-10pm air shift on WCKG-FM 105.9!!!

At the moment, there is a golden opportunity for me to be a candidate for the 7-10pm air shift on WCKG-FM 105.9.

Remember, Thursday July 14 is a day/night Cubs doubleheader.......and B-Day 34 for the K.I.D.  Please pass this on if possible (especially Fuji!!!!).  It's a winner of a show concept!!!!!

Jeff Schwartz WCKG-FM 105.9

The sooner, like this week.....Wednesday or Thursday, the better!  Word on the street from Fuji & BleacherWonderland would be large!!!!!!!

Thursday, April 28: Room to Read Fundraiser at Catalyst Ranch

Join us for drinks and hor d'oeuvres

Room to Read Fundraiser

Catalyst Ranch
656 West Randolph
Chicago, Illinois
Thursday, April 28, 2005
6:00PM-9:00PM

Suggested Minimum Donation $35.00
R.S.V.P to Sally Baker:  sally@bbchicago.com  312-337-0361

100% of funds collected will go directly to Room to Read programs.

*****************************************8
Here is information provided by Room to Read on the need for the Kindergarten that we were able to meet with our donation:

- The area for the proposed kindergarten is one of the poorest in the city.  The occupants work as vendors, porters, cycle drivers, etc.  Many of them are unemployed.

- Their children have to stay at home because they cannot afford to pay school fees.  Even for those parents who could afford to send their children to school, it is very difficult. Most of the schools are very far from their homes and the parents have no means of transporting their children to and from the school.

- Meanwhile, school aged children occupy approximately 30% of the population.

- There is great need for a kindergarten in An Cuu ward.

70 children will attend the school.

I'm hoping the photos below showing the construction in progress are visible (sorry, AOL has some limitations!).

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for supporting the Goodie Foundation party!  It was a fun night!  This is going to be the last Happy Hour until fall, with the exception of a Mid-summer blow out.  There is too much happening in the Big Fat City in the summer!  Anyway, How long has it been since you went to Beaumont’s??  I think I went there with a fake ID last time…  There is Grizzly’s Lodge then three more that I’m confident you haven’t been to or at least been to in a while. (We will end up in the Lincoln Park area)  I need people to RSVP me with a fairly good guess of the number attending so we can have the right number of busses!  Also, the busses will be staggered on leave times so we can all get drinks at the bars. We will probably have 6 busses.

On a personal note, a couple of you ladies spoke with me about my writing style so I took a look at some of my past invites and guess I can see how they have been a little over the top with sexual innuendos.  So I promised those ladies that I would keep the sexual words and comments to a minimum for this invite, penis.  I guess that most of you realize beaver that I’m only kidding around.  I realize, boobs that the whole idea of sophomoric e-mails is beneath me, beef curtains and that sexual innuendos whether blatant, nipples or hidden have to stop before, ten inch meat hammer some of you get the wrong idea about me:)  Thank you for understanding and Cumming to the parties.

Get to either of the two starting bars on time!  See you there!!

John Corry
