Great Doings has put a whole new spin on the "TGIF" after-work party.  The Goodwill Guzzle  is your chance to give back to a worthy cause and end your week with a bang!  Held at Jack Sullivan's 2147 North Clybourn Avenue from 6pm to 9pm, your $12 donation includes complimentary domestic bottle beer, wine, soda and a scrumptious buffett (i.e. pizza, wings, roast beef carving station, vegs, salad etc.)... and the proceeds benefit the Programs for the Kids at Near Northwest Civic Committee/Mr. Moose's Youth Center!   

Not enough?  In addition to all of the above, you will also get a bracelet that entitles you to any other drink for just $2 (i.e., any other draft and bottled beers, mixed call drinks, shots, etc.).  Tickets only available at the door.  Get there early to reserve a spot because it can fill up FAST.  As an incentive, Jack's will make the buffett available from 6 :00 to 8:00pm!

Chicago Sport and Social Clubs invites their members for their monthly Mix event, this month at Finn McCools Irish Pub (15 W. Division ) and the Loft. Everyone entering the establishment between 9 and midnight mentioning Sport and Social Club pays no cover charge. The awesome Colorado-based band, Mission 19 , is back in town, and McGee's is the only place in Chicago that you can see them! In honor of their special appearances on Friday, October 15, and Saturday, October 16, we're throwing a "Rock"toberfest party all weekend! Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 30th! On that day we will hold an 8K race to benefit South Loop School.

The race will take place on 62-acres of vacant property in the South Loop neighborhood (South of Roosevelt, West of Clark).

The race will include:
- an 8K competitive trail run
- a 5K nature and fitness walk
- a Lion's Paw Dash for the children

There will also be a costume contest and many other activities for children. In the next week, information will be sent home with your child, so watch their backpacks for more information. But you don't have to wait for that!

It's that time of year again and this year's version of Dance with the Dead promises to be the most exciting one ever! This awesome party will feature 3 live performances, 2 DJs, monumental decor, 5-hour premium open bar, and a 7-hour party (due to the end of daylight savings)! Bash Events (in association with Bar1Events) is hosting this blowout Halloween bash on Saturday, October 30. The spookiest pub crawl of the year is only a few weeks away! It's the Bar1Events annual Halloween Pub Crawl! Sunday, October 31, we're Crawlin' with the Creeps from 8-11pm. The $15 meal package includes a huge buffet at each bar, domestic drafts, and trolley transportation between the bars. Plus, there won't really be any creeps there, just a lot of hot singles in Halloween costumes! PPC's 8th Annual 12 Bars of Christmas Lincoln Park Neighborhood Pub Crawl

The Tradition Continues! What started out in December of 1997 as just a handful of friends joking around that we should go a 12-Bar tear to kill time on a Friday night in Lincoln Park has mushroomed into one of the largest free pub crawls in the City of Chicago with the event attracting over 300+ participants in 2003!

Although there have been evolutionary changes along the way, like moving the event onto Saturday night (so more folks could attend), free wristbands, and of course, pre-negotiated drink specials, our core traditions remain the same... good friends, good drinks, good times, and even some free Santa Hats for the early birds.

And even though this event has grown to one of the largest private pub crawls in the city, to this day we don't collect one penny from our friends for this event, as we do not wish to make your charitable giving decision for you by collecting on someone else's behalf. We think it's great that others do (so please be generous to the charity of your choice), but that's just not what we're all about. We're here to party!
