About our Themes

Historically, the Fourth of July Picnic and Scavenger Hunt/ Pub Crawl has had a theme, usually commemorating one of our friends and/or party organizers, or our motto - "Chicago Is Our Playground".

Prior years' themes include:

1992 - I: [Didn't have one... didn't know we'd be doing this ever again...] 1993 - II: Reuniting the Blues Brothers
1994 - III: Save Ferris Buehler
1995 - IV: Find Al Capone's Vault
1996 - V: In Search of the Holy Grail
1997 - VI: In Search of Elvis
1998 - VII: Mission Impossible: Find Eric a Wife
1999 - VIII: Pass the Torch
2000 - IX: Where In the World Is Marietta LeSage? 2001 - X: 2001 : A Lincoln Park Odyssey

2002 - 11*: Made in the USA

2003 - "Operation Shock and Awe - The Search for Beverages of Mass Consumption"

2004 - All Good Things...The End of An Era

*Note: For 2002 we are departing from our practice of using Roman Numerals to designate the annual event (like the Super Bowl does) this year and designating this as Party "11" in memory of the events of September 11, 2001.
